What Is PHP And What Are The Benefits Of Using It?

For people who make, or who are interested in websites, they may have heard of this term but they are not sure what it is. Basically PHP which stands for Hypertext Pre-processor is a server side programming language which will allow web designers to create dynamic content. PHP is used for a wide range of different tasks including counters, email forms, login sections for websites and many other great features.

Without PHP there would not be any functionally and you really need it if you have a website with forms or if you want to get visitors to enter data. It can also be used in conjunction with flash applications and websites too. PHP is a free program you can download, but to test the web pages you can only view it on a server and not directly on your local computer.

PHP can be quite easy to learn and there is a massive list of tutorials available on the internet to try and help you grasp the concepts of using it.
