How Do People Know If A Hamster Is In Love?

Well that is a pretty complicated question, love always is! But as to your question that how does one know that an animal is in love or even understands the meaning of love. I do not agree with the fact that animals cannot fall in love, if anyone does not believe it go to the zoo and see animals caring so much for each other. As to your question, I think you should see if your hamster is reacting differently or acting differently. This may imply that he likes someone! You just have to look at the clues, bring in a female hamster and you will get to know the answer to this question yourself.

Love is an emotion based on the upmost respect and the desire for the others best interest to be met, and to help them achieve this.  Is that possible with hamsters?
I would think that companionship, familiarity, and basic instincts probably rule the brain of a hamster.  I'm not a hamster though.  I thought they were all about sex? Hormones, hormones, and hormones!!  It's a sweet thought though. =)
