How Can My 15 Years Old Make Friends?
My 15 years old daughter has been homeschooled through junior high, now she has trouble making friends in the high school. What can I tell her to help her be more extroverted and make a friend?

Suggest that she find ONE person that seems to maybe have something in common with her. Suggest that she start out by just introducing herself. Making friends takes time. Maybe if after she introduces herself, she explains that she was home schooled, that might strike intrest in the other person and give them a "jumping off point" to start a line of conversation. By talking to one girl, that girl can then introduce her to other friends.
Also it is sometimes harder for teenagers to start friendships at this age with people of the same sex. Suggest that she try to talk to boys too. (In a completely "friends ONLY" way.) Sometimes it is easier to talk to someone of the opposite sex. Also boys tend to introduce people into groups a lot easier then girls do.

Thank you for the suggestion. She is so shy & afraid. , but very lonely for a friend. She used to get bullied & picked on where we used to live, that is why I took her out of school for the past 3 years.
I used to be shy, get bullied around school.
But what I did, I started talking one of them, and I asked him what subject have we got next, and without thinking that I'm shy. He told me what was next, and I asked is the teacher nice? He replied yeah he is.
And I kept on asking him questions about the school. The next day, he came to me and said hey, what's up?
And so on, I got along with him, since he hangs out with a lot of people, I get to know lots of people.
And she shouldn't be afraid, you never know unless you've tried.
