    I Can Be Running Hot Water From The A Bathroom Faucet And When Hot Water Is Turned On In Another Area Of The House, The Hot Water In The Bathroom Turns Cold? What Can Be Causing This?

    I purchased a new 40 gallon natural gas water heater to replaced an older 30 gallon model that started leaking. I made sure that it was installed correctly. I can runhot water in the bathroom and when hot water is turned on in another area of the house, at the same time, the hot water in the bathroom turns cold. After several minutes the water may start turning warm in the last faucet turned on. This happens in all areas of our house. Taking showers can be somewhat exciting. It didn't do this before changing the water heater. HELP!

    Well there is not enough hot water so when two are one immediately turns cold.

      There is definitely some problem with your new water heater. It is not heating properly. It heats a little water and when you open water in some other place, the water turns cool. There is another possibility that your water heater might functioning properly but the problem is that when the water is heated up more and more then it turns into steam. This steam travels in the pipes and you always find the water cool. You have to hammer the pipes so that this steam can be rushed out through tapes and then you will find hot water through out.

      Thanks for your response. What do you mean by "You have to hammer the pipes so that stean can be rushed through tapes"? I can do anything with wood, but plumbing is not my area of expertise. Again thanks so much.
