    Learning Objective
"What the students be supposed to be able to do at the end of a knowledge period that they could not do earlier."
"Unambiguous formulations of ways in which students are predictable to be changed by the educative procedure." (Bloom, 1956)

History (Brief) and Controversy around Behavioural Objectives
Behavioural objectives became recognized to many educators through a book allowed, Preparing Instructional Objectives, printed by Robert F. Mager that was available in 1962. It was throughout the 60's and early 70's that a lot of public school teachers were necessary to write behavioural objectives as a critical constituent of their daily lecture plans. Many workshops for teachers were maintained and the Mager representation for writing behavioural objectives was trained.

The Mager model suggested that objectives should be exact and measurable. The Magerian model particular three parts to an aim as follows: (1) It should have a quantifiable verb (an action verb), (2) It should comprise a requirement of what is given the beginner, and (3) It should hold a specification of criterion for success or capability. However, behavioural objectives are extensively accepted as an essential component of the instructional plan process.

When you think of the phrase think of ......What would you like to have accomplished after learning in a certain area? or ...What is your goal when you are done school?

[i.e.   1.) A young medical student's learning objective is to become a doctor after many years of schooling. 2.) A young lady who loves children may have a learning objective of being a teacher. ]

*Sometimes it's hard to look that far ahead especially if you're just starting school but it's good to have goals. Goals help you to stay focused on why you are studying and gives you a purpose. During the process of learning there will probably be times when you get discouraged. Thinking of what you truly want to accomplish can help lift you out of that and drive you to press through how you're feeling.

The reason of a learning objective is to exchange a few words. Therefore, a well-constructed knowledge objective should leave small room for uncertainty about what is intended. A well constructed learning purpose describes an proposed learning result and contains three parts, each of which on your own means not anything, but when collective into a judgement or two, communicates the state of affairs under which the performance is performed, a verb that defines the performance itself, and the amount (criteria) to which a scholar must carry out the performance. If any single of these three mechanisms is gone astray, the purpose cannot exchange a few words accurately. Therefore, the parts of a learning purpose are:

        Conditions
A declaration that explains the conditions a lesser amount of than which the performance is to be performed
        Criteria
Criteria are a declaration that specifies how well the scholar has got to carry out his behavior.
        Behavioral Verb
Behavioral verb is an act of speech that can collect the observable scholar's performance and behavior.
