How Many Tintin Films Have Been Made?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The first Tintin movie was "The Crab with the Golden Claws", directed by Wilfried Bouchery in 1947.

Then in the 1950's there was "King Ottokar's Sceptre", "The Broken Ear", and "Destination Moon".

Then in the 1960's came "Tintin and the Golden Fleece", "Tintin and the Blue Oranges" and "Prisoners of the Sun".

In the 1970's there was but oneTintin movie, namely "Tintin and the Lake of Sharks".

So that is a total of eight Tintin movies altogether.

For a while, in the eighties, Steven Spielberg took an interest in doing some Tintin movies, but for legal reasons, this never came to fruition. However it is said that Spielberg took inspiration from the Tintin stories when creating the Indiana Jones movies.

There is some talk of a Tintin revival, and it is possible that there may be further Tintin movies in the pipeline, so it may well not be the end of our little animated friend yet.
