How Are Twins Created?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Fraternal or two egg twins are created when mum releases two ova in the same cycle, instead of the normal 1 and they become fertilised with two different sperm.    They can be 2 boys, 2 girls or 1 of each and are no more related than 2 sibs. Created at different times. /////////Identical twins are different as they arise from 1 fertilised ovum that splits into 2 and forms 2 genetically identical embryo,s . /////So called siamese twins are the result of an incomplete split during this time. The incomplete split is unique in all cases as u will have learned from the media on reporting of fused twins. Hope this helps.
