Who Has Ownership To A Car When There Is A Mechanic Lien And A Title Pawn Has The Car In Tn?

In tn when a mechanic files a lien on a car and a title pawn has possession of the car who has legal right to the car?

Answer Question

This depends on the actual sum of the mechanic's lien and the cost of the total work performed on the vehicle in question. If the sum is less than the total value of the car, then there could be joint ownership, if there is a title pawn. In all cases, however, the only way to enforce a mechanic's lien is through court proceedings and if it comes to this, a judge would have the final say on the issue of ownership.
