    Commercial banks, which contain national banks, stock savings banks have usually provided a large variety of services besides their primary functions of making loans and investments and managing demand and also savings or deposits. Secondary function might include discounting bills of exchange, letter of credit and so on.

      Receiving deposit
      this the function of the formation of capital,capital is formed by receiving deposits from the account-holders(depositors). Small savers, salaried people. Traders,manufactures and others deposie their money with the bank under the head of saving current or fixed deposit
