Treat the home and yard and give the kitten a vinegar water bath.

Buy some Sergeant's flea and tick spray. Follow directions but i would not use much on a young kitten

I just got a new kitten a few weeks ago and found out that it had so many fleas everywhere!!! First me and my 8 yr old son got the kitty wet, (we didn't dry him off) then we each used a pair  those fine tipped tweezers (the pointy ones, not the slanted ones) and picked every single  flea off!! But the slanted ones may work, I'm not sure if they would work as good though. We keep the water in the sink running a bit and just let the fleas go down the drain. Since he had so many fleas, we had to get the kitty re-wet a few times. It's easier to see the fleas and to get them off this way.  And as we were using the tweezers the kitty wasn't bothered by it,, ( we were just picking them off, we weren't digging in his skin with them or anything) i think the kitty knew that it was a good thing and he sat very still. This worked for us, but it did take almost an hour and there were two of us doing this. But  MILO, our kitty, hasn't had a single flea since and it's been weeks. So if your patient, this is something you may want to try.
