I can see where this could be very worrisome for you, admittedly, it's a less then ideal pairing, but animals have incredible self preservation capabilities built in to their genetic make up. Make sure that she gets all the nutrition and exercise she needs during the pregnancy. If you haven't switched her back to puppy food yet I'd do that now, and if you don't already free feed her I would suggest doing that as well throughout the pregnancy and nursing phases. Make sure she gets out for walks or runs every day, don't force her to do more than she wants to, but make sure she has the opportunity to get in as much exercise as she wants. Good muscle tone will go a long way to helping her come through this pregnancy ok. For the last three weeks of gestation, I'd ask the vet to give her a quick check weekly just to make sure she's still doing ok as the pups start to put on the bulk of their weight. Make sure that he clearly understands that she is your main concern, and that if the pups need to be taken early to make sure that she's ok then that's what you want to do. Chances are the worst that will happen is that she will have to have a c-section done before the pups are viable. In other words, the pups may not make, but if you keep in tune to how she's doing, she should come through this ok.
