Some basic information about a branch of biology.

Chronobiology is the name of the science in which the different functions of the body are studied with the respect of time. Scientists discovered that there are some inner clocks in plants and every kind of animals. These clocks or timings are gifted in every plant and animal by the nature. The study of this biological science with the body functions is called chronobiology.
It was first discovered by a French scientist who saw leaves of some plant which opened it leaves in morning and closed it in the evening. His name was Jean Jacques and it was discovered in 1729. He was wondered to see the timing of the plant and he thought that the widely held belief that this happens because of sunlight is not true. And he tested it by transferring the plant in the dark room and plant continued to show this amazing mechanism of time.
Then later on in 1737 a Swedish botanist Carlous Linnaeus, also witnessed the same experiences. His observations not only confirmed the mechanism of time but it was also figured out that the mechanism is so accurate that one can tell the time of the day. In this way, this branch of science was developed.
Later on, scientist also came out with the point that animals have 2 basic inner clocks in them bestowed to them by nature. One is called central clock and the other is peripheral clock. Any downfall in the central clock can make peripheral clock inoperative but the problem in peripheral clock does not affect on the working of central clock. In this branch of science, we make the study of body with these natural clocks. I think it is enough for you to understand.
