Where Were The First Cars Used?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Basically the transformation of mechanical car to the current cars is a very long story and it is usually considered that the individual who introduced the idea of the mechanical car is the first user of the car. There are many disputes about the first inventor of a mechanical car but most of the evidences support that Nicolas Joseph Cugnot first made the self-propelled mechanical car in 1769. He belonged to France therefore, he introduced this car there. On the basis of this it can be said that first users of mechanical cars were French. People who argue that Ferdinand Verbiest had designed the car in 1672, are ignorant of the fact that the cars which he introduced were for the small scale toy market. Those cars were unable to carry any passenger.
