Is There An Interesting Story Behind The Invention Of The Radio?

Radio is not a one day invention. In fact radio was developed on the foundations of various technological advancements. Although Marconi is known as the real inventor of radio but there are contributions of thousands of scientists and physicians who worked for so many years on electromagnetic waves, wireless communication, broadcasting and other technological advancements. The only interesting story could be that Marconi capitalized on the inventions made by the other scientists and couldn't let others to capitalize on his invention. He put a patent on radio (when he developed it in 1896) and was the first one to establish a wireless factory in England. Later on, the technology became widespread and other companies started developing their own similar technological products.
