I have DVD from Russia and I was wondering if my DVD player in America would play the DVD.

Have you tried? It probably WON'T play, unless it says "REGIOIN 0" which means a DVD that can be played all over the world...You can go online and get DVD players that have been reconfigured to accept DVDs from all over the world........but if it does play, you are really lucky!!!

Dear, there should be no problem while playing a dvd from Russian in the dvd player in America, like i have a dvd from China and now used to play that dvd in the dvd player in Pakistan.

There shouldn't be a problem.  The only problem you might have is plugging your DVD player in, but a krusell multiadapter will solve that problem.
