Can You Solve Using The Quadratic Formula?

I am stuck on a problem trying to solve using the quadratic formula: X^2 - 7x - 1 = - 7

    X^2 - 7x - 1 = - 7

    X^2 - 7x -1 + 7 = - 7+7

    X^2 - 7x + 6 = 0

    (x-6) (x-1)

    So the answer is (x-6) (x-1)
