My 5mo Pocket Beagle Is Bald On Her Left Side, We Have Tried Everything With No Success, What Should I Do?
Molly is a 5mo pocket beagle who has a balding spot to her left side. We 1st treated her for mange and after a month no change. We then treated her for possible skin infection, 7 days of antibiotics and a month later no change. We changed her diet to a non corn based food, no change. We give her weekley oatmeal baths (per vet suggestion) and still no change. She did get spayed and the vet said her uterus was very lager and maybe spot was hormonal. 3 weeks later no change. Can anyone help?

There are many reasons which can cause baldness in dogs. Following are some causes other than you treated.
  1.  Ringworms
  2. Exposure to antibiotics, some metals and poisons
  3. Allergy to pollen, dust due to inhalation
  4. Some diseases like cushing disease and hypothyroidism
  5. Seborrhea
There can many more reason. I will advise you to discuss the possibility of above mentioned causes with your vet.

Sounds like a hot spot try using some hydrocortizone cream and if not better then she needs to go to the vet and get a cortizone shot and you can give benadryl too!! It will make her sleepy but it will help with the itching and spread even more!! Good luck!!!!
