How Do You Hit A Fastball 65 Mph?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

In softball, there are two pitches that you can understand. The two different softball games are fastpitch and slowpitch. In the fastball, the ball is as fast as a baseball, so the hit that merits a baseball should be used for the fast ball as well.

The batter has to move his bat as a whiplash. He should know how to make an instant contact with a blazing fast ball. His wooden bat must give a thumping hit to the leather ball. He ought to be able to speed up his bat from its parked position near his ear and plunge it rapidly down to the strike zone near his waist, all in nick of time. The bat must be moving fast enough at that particular moment of impact to steer the ball out of the infield or the ball park. The faster the bat moves, the more energy is imparted on the ball. A short bat is not adequate enough to make contact with those fast balls on the outside of the plate.  Use a lighter bat. The bat with less wood; especially with slender but strong handles are effective. Hit the fast pitch ball closer to your hands for full powered stroke.
