What Is The Television Series 'Lost' About?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The ABC drama series 'Lost' centres around survivors of a plane-crash who landed on an island. Each episode focusses on a particular character's back-story before they boarded the plane. This is interspersed with action from the island, as the survivors get to grips with trying to work out how to get off the island, how to eat and battle against other inhabitants of the island.

The first season was based purely on an initial twelve characters. The second season introduced some other inhabitants of the island, known as 'The Others'. The third season which is currently airing in both the US and the UK, has several crash-survivors struggling with their imprisonment by 'The Others', as they try to work out the meaning of the Dharma Initiative project which has been based on the Island at some point.

The series has won Emmys and Golden Globes and features actors such as Evangeline Lily, Matthew Fox, Josh Holloway and Terry O'Quinn.
