Why Did You Send Me A Friend Request?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Well, either you know the person who sent it to you, or you don't.

If you know them, then there's really nothing to explain. You may not, IRL, think of them as a 'friend', but in order to enable communication between the 2 of you they have to label you as a friend - that's just the way it works.

If you don't know them, then decline the request. People send them out blindly for a number of reasons - they may be advertising something, they may just be trying to get a high number of friends, or they may mistakenly think they know you.

If in doubt, decline. A real friend or acquaintance will either try again or they will contact you offline to explain.

People send you friend requests so if you know the person you can accept the request and you will be friends on the site if you don't know the person just ignore
