Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Recently during a sting operation of a private television channel known as Headlines Today, the Indian cricket selectors were seen crucifying the former Indian coach Greg Chappell along with senior players, blaming them for India's disastrous defeat in the World Cup campaign.  Greg Chappell, who was India's coach in the 2007 Cricket World Cup, quit his job after the ouster of India from the mega tournament.

Speaking about the sting operation, four of the national cricket selectors namely Ranjib Biswal, Bhupinder Singh Senior, Venkatapaty Raju and Sanjay Jagdale were caught hurling intense criticism on the former Indian coach who is an Australian by nationality and also some senior Indian players, blaming them exclusively for the World Cup debacle.  As according to the selectors, Greg Chappell had a divide-and-rule policy, which he used to create fractions in the team while senior players like Sachin Tendulkar and Saurav Ganguly were not supporting the captaincy of Rahul Dravid – these irresponsible attitude ultimately became the reason for India's shameful defeat in the Cricket World Cup 2007.
