Love is a connection and affiliation between two hearts which can exist between a son/daughter and parents, brothers and sisters and lovers. Love is a bond that binds together people on the basis of trust, liking and even friendship. Where as, lust is desire or longing for something, which can be for things ranging from money to sex. It is a dying need or craving normally for sex without involving relationships in it.

Okay, this is my opinion (thank you for clarifying that =]): Love is two different distinct things. One kind of love is the love you share with family and close friends, the love that says you care about them and you know they care for you, the love that relates you to people that are in your life. The other kind of love is love you feel for someone, someone you hope loves you back, that you hope gives their heart to you like you gave to them. Not only do you care about them but you want to spend the rest of your life with them and create your own life and family. That's true love anyway. Then lust, is a strong desire for something, but right now I'm just talking about sexual lust. It's a need to fulfill passion with whomever you are lusting at the time. I think it's possible to become addicted to the target-lust if you get it fulfilled or just simply feel complete after and move on. Lust and love are not to be confused...but when you have a balance of both in a relationship (for each other) I think it makes for a great relationship.
