Toothpaste is accurate but incomplete - you can only take 100 milliliters of any liquid or gel in your hand luggage as well no scissors, metal nail fie or anything that could be looked at as some kind of weapon. My advice - take a good book, pack your bathing suit in your hand luggage and if your luggage doesn't after you've read a chapter, go to the hotel have a swim then search for your luggage!
