Answer Question

There are two approaches to this answer: 1) Pain relief: Here, physician steer clear of an older narcotic, meperidine(Demerol) because it causes biliary spasm, worsening symptoms. Any other analgesic will be safe but if the colic pain is severe, strong narcotics are often required. 2) Spasm control: Antispasmodic drugs, such as hyoscyamine, are potentially helpful if used early in the attack. Once spasm is peaked, the spasm is difficult to attenuate significantly with these agents.
Remember, the gallbladder contracts when stimulated by the hormone cholecystokinin. This hormone is released when a meal is ingested and the magnitude of the release is increased by the size of the meal and the amount of fat in the meal.

I had my gallbladder taken out 4 years ago and the doctors put me on Dicyclomine. It works really fest as for the pain. Other than that I have had to cut back on the really high acid foods and anything that has alot of  saturated fat in it. If you can do this then it will help with the acids that your body produces. The can get the drug from your doctor and it is cheap. Check with your doctor and see.
