Who Was The Inventor Of The Candle?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Candles are lightening up the man's progress for centuries. However, it is very little known about the origin of candles. Often it is written that the first candle was developed by Ancient Egyptians who used torches or rush-lights, made by soaking the pithy core of reeds in molten tallow. The Romans are credited with developing the wick candle, for using it to aid travelers at dark, and lighting homes and places of worship in the darkness.
