Seven books complete the dark tower series written by Stephen King. The first book is known as The Dark Tower I: The Gunslinger. The series includes many themes from numerous fields like fantasy fiction, science fantasy, western elements and horror.
King has illustrated this book and the other series as his magnum opus. Apart from the seven series, a large number of his books are related to this story. King got the inspiration for the series from the impressive poem "Childe Roland to the Dark Tower Came" which was written by Robert Browning.
Stephen King has revealed that for the 2003 version "The Gunslinger" he has draw inspiration from "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Good, Bad and Ugly". Every book of the series was printed in hardcover format which had a number of full-color illustrations spread all over it.
