How Are Gases Pressured To Deep Sea Divers?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Profession Diving basically is a form of diving in which the diver gets paid for his work. There are quite a few streams of professional diving, the most famous one being commercial diving.

A person who intends to become a professional diver generally needs to go through particular training which convinces the legislation, like the one set by United Kingdom Health and Safety Executive. Owing to the risky nature of certain type of professional diving, specific gear like a diver to surface contact system is required by law.

Normally the breathing gas for divers is pumped down from the surface via an extended piece of supple hose, which is known as the umbilical. Apart from the breathing gas connection, the umbilical might have other tubes or cables for things like communication equipment. The breathing gas for divers is generally pressured to deep sea divers via high pressure tanks or through a gas compressor.
