Yours horse may have rabies, or if not your horse still has serious problems, go to the vet immediately!

Could also be choke. Obstruction of Food, grain, hay, lodged in the throat. Our 37 yr old Arab Mellow had this happen several times as she aged. She was able to clear it herself coughing and drinking water. Just when we thought we had to call our vet she cleared it and went about eating and living the good life ; ] How old is your horse? What does her breath smell like (the foam)? Mellow's was always a bit stinky when she had choke.
