What Is Psionic Medicine?

Psionic Medicine is an alternative medicine which was founded in the late 1960's by Dr George Lawrence.  It is closely linked to homoeopathy, but also involves dowsing and Miasm Theory.  Homoeopathy is a treatment which aims to replicate the symptoms in a patient's body so that the body can actually heal itself.  It is often referred to as a 'like cures like' treatment.  Dowsing (which is the same as dowsing for water) is where divining rods (or in this case it may be a pendulum)  are waved over a person's body to try and identify an illness.  
Miasm Theory is a belief that an illness is only a symptom of an underlying disease, which has to be rooted out and found.  Which must be somewhat concerning for the patient!
Lawrence combined the three theories into one 'new' school of medicine, but it is far from a  conventional treatment and today practitioners are few and far between.
