Heathrow is an airport and there is no village there anymore. However the airport did acquire the name of the village that was situated there in 1945. The hamlet of Heath Row was removed to accommodate the sprawling facility.
There is a village in the north of Heathrow now, that's in the eye of the storm. Since early this decade plans to build a third runway for Heathrow has the village of Sipson worried. Residents are against plans that their thousand year old village may be demolished for the expansion scheme. Even the County of Hillingdon is against the said plans. But Heathrow, one of the busiest in the world, needs to grow. And so the industrial behemoth might swallow Sipson with as much ease as if it had never existed at all.
