The average age of cats is 12-15 years. However, if given proper care, nutrition, and regular veterinary visits, a cat kept indoors, can live as long as 21 years or even more.

My cat is 16 years old in a few months and is in perfect health for a cat of her age. The vet said that only a handful of cats can can live to 20 years old or more it depends on the general health of the cat.
