Rose breasted grosbeak is a North American migrating land bird; however, in winters they go to Nicaragua, Latin America and stay there from mid November till February. In summers they can be found in Dakota, Kansas, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Colorado, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland and Delaware. Their natural habitat is open woodlands with abundance of water, large trees, and overgrown pastures, dense growth of small trees, gardens and parks. They eat seeds, flying insects and berries. The nest of the grosbeak is very thinly constructed. It is so thin that one can see through the nest from below it.

The rose breasted grosbeak can also be found in Rhode Island, where I live. I currently have at least 4 males and one female rose breasted grosbeak visiting my feeders in Chepachet, Rhode Island.

You can go to www.wikipedia.org, type in red breasted grosbeak, it will take you to a site that has all kinds of information. I love wikipedia, there is all kinds of information on this site, it is an encyclopedia of course.
Here in Alaska, we see the pine grosbeak, they are so beautiful, and they sing so wonderfully. Hope this helps.
