How Do You Help Someone Deal With Dying?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Bereavement or death in a family is not easy to deal with, particularly if the person who is dead is survived by very young children or elderly relatives, such as his or her parents. It is undoubtedly shocking for anybody who has to deal with the untimely demise of a loved one, but younger adults are far more mature and are able to cope better with the news of the loss of a loved one.

While most people offer their condolences and pay their last respects to the departed soul, the family members, relatives and close friends of the family of the individual who has passed away must make sure that the survivors have a strong support system to cope with the loss of the departed soul. If you think the grief might prompt anybody to contemplate taking an extreme step (such as committing suicide), he or she must be informed of it only when he or she is strong enough to deal with the shock and grief.
