What Did G.I. Stand For On The Uniform Of American Military?

Answer Question

G.I. Stands(with much hubris, I might add) for "Government Issue", believing/meaning soldiers were manufactured and property of the government.  Many GIs wear the label proudly as they serve their country with as much commitment as they would have to any natural parent.
