The theme tune for titanic is based on love theme also known as pop/ballad. The theme song of the movie Titanic is "My Heart Will go On", the track became quiet famous after its release in the year 1997.

The track was penned by Will Jennings and the musical score was given by James Horner. It was sung by Celine Dion and was initially released in Dion's album Lets Talk About Love. The track topped the charts in many countries like United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia etc.

Horner had initially made the song as an instrumental motif which is used in many scenes during Titanic. He later on wanted to make a full song out of this, which would be played during the credits of the film. Dion was the initial choice for the song, but she refused to record it after listening to it. It was her husband and manager Rene Angelil, who persuaded her to record the song.
