Does The Service Engine Soon Light Have Anything To Do With Transmissions?

Answer Question

Yes, it could. Modern cars have computer systems that listen to sensors in both the engine and transmission. If they do not like what they hear the computer will turn that light on to warn you that something is wrong and have it taken care of.

The best thing for you to do is to bring your car to any of the large auto parts chains and ask them to check your car for trouble codes. They often do thie for free! Tell me what the code is and we can figure more stuff out and maybe a simple fix.
