A resume can be defined as information given by a candidate about him or her self as per the requirement of a company or organisation. Generally in a resume following things are asked in a pre defined order;

name,sex,age,address,nationality,academic achievements,extra calicullar activities,work experience etc.

There are myriad of ways to make a good resume and it depends upon the individual how innovative he is to get the job done.
     
Some of the aspects are common for every kind of resume which include the name, age, contact address and phone number and the prior experience if you have any. After mentioning these things, you can use your creativity to differentiate yourself in the market place.
      
The foremost aspect that you can highlight is that what is unique to you that can be useful for the organisation you are applying in. A well written resume will only get you a foot in the door. Sometimes an exceedingly well written resume is a bad strategy if you cannot back it up in the interview.
