This Question Is Answered:
Can A Landlord Give You A 60 Day Notice Just Because The Owner Is Selling The Rental House? I Have Til March 08 On My Lease Yet.
My landlord gave me a 60 day notice to move because the owner has decided to sell, but i still have until march 08 on my lease. There is no clause that says anything about selling the property. He is spending to much money on the home, so he is selling. But, they are trying to say i broke the lease by having one bedroom door broke. Because of there neglegence. It fell off the hinges. This is what he told my brother, i got a different story, nothing was said about that.

If there is nothing mentioned in the agreement about the advance notice of 60 days on selling the property then you have every right to sue the landlord. You are not breaking your lease. The landlord is breaking it. Your landlord brother is just making excuses and you need to tackle them wisely.

No. The new owner would take over your lease. But, would have no obligation to renew it if you have no provision for it in said lease
