The fact that you are not exactly like either of your parents supports the theory of evolution by natural selection. If we make careful observations of the differences we can can this scientific evidence.

Oh? And how is that natural selection? Noticed how your parents will always give birth to a human? Never a...i dunno..chimpanzee. Why is this? Because everything gives birth to its like. A human to a human, a monkey, to a monkey, etc. Some people may have longer hair, different eye colors, etc, but that is purely because they contain genes from BOTH parents. And it makes a combination of traits. These traits may may be to your advantage or dis-advantage, but, certainly are not a mutation!
Read the book! Variation from generation to generation, then some variation resulting in more advantageous adaptation is exactly what natural selection is.
