What Are The Historical Views Of Abnormal Behaviour And Modern Psychology?

In our daily life and in our society, we meet daily many such people who have abnormal behavior and we don't give any importance to them. Here I will describe the historical views about abnormal behavior and in modern psychology.

Abnormal behavior, like many of the psychological concepts, described many researches. Abnormal behavior is statistically normal, average behavior. The behavior of people who are labeled as abnormal may be a challenge to other people and even disruptive of their lives. Today, we view the study of abnormal behavior as a part of psychology and psychiatry. It was not always so.

In ancient times, people studied abnormal behavior under the heading of demonology. The reason was that they believed that a person exhibiting abnormal behavior was possessed by a supernatural force, often in the form of an evil demon. Modern approaches to abnormal behavior closely parallel those on personality in general. These theoretical approaches have shaped research, with different kinds of research emanating from different theoretical perspectives. They specifically apply to the abnormal personality, they are:

THE PSYCHODYNAMIC APPROACH.
THE HUMANISTIC APPROACH.
THE BEHAVRIOL APPROACH.
THE COGNITIVE APPROACH.
THE BIOLOGICAL APPROACH.
THE BIOPSYCHOSOCIAL APPROACH.

These different approaches address different levels of a problem, with respect to both etiology and treatment which are useful for abnormal people.
