OH snap, what else are you doing at age 16 other than having a affair, that is the fear of your parents if you are doing anything positive with hie encouraging you than they may not mind like going to school and keeping your grades up a parents worse night mare is to know that a man comes before their childs own well being because your parents will not always be here, what type life are you planning for yourself do you plan to finish school and go on to a higher education, ie college to eke out a life and career for yourself or are you putting your life on hold for this man, is he encouraging you to pursue a career etc.......the best to you

I have left school and am in full time employment (i actually receive higher education from this and will have a degree in four years hopefully.) I have been in a relationship for 11 months which ended 3 months ago and that was with an older man ( 22 ) my parents were fine. They have always let me be my own person whilst being responsible im just worried my mum especially will freak out a bit.

Im 16 and my boyfriend is 9 years older than me, i think when you have found the person you love, age doesnt matter :] talk it out with your parents tell them you would want to have that relationship, tell them that you understand they might think its wrong..but you feel its right, they'll hopefully understand..have him talk with your parents..thats what my boyfriend did and everything is going great..i wish you lots of luck.
