    Basically MBO is the process which involves the understanding of the individuals and the employees of the organizations with certain objectives of the organization. In other words it is the process in which the employees agree upon the objectives of the company.

    Objectives are set for all of the functions of a company like financial, HR, production, marketing, IT etc. Some of the objectives are collective and some are individualized objectives. Moreover, in MBO targets are set which must fulfill the characteristics of SMART which include, Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time specific goals.
