i have a lip piercing and everytime i eat i wash it with non-alcoholic mouthwash and i make sure theres no access food on it so i brush it gently with a soft toothbrush. I also wash the outside with warm water and dial soup 2 a day. If your piercing gets gunky from the lymph (which is normal) wash with saline and gently brush with soft toothbrush. Do salt water soaks or saline soaks one time a day for 10 days.
