You need to remove the alternator and then it is under that tube that does not look like there is a thermostat inside. Check the water for rust, if you have low or no heat then the water pump is probably decayed and need to be replaced.

I used to change them on my 1967 Satellite,1967 Dodge van,1969 barracuda and 1971 Chrysler Le Baron ...Are the engines that different ??
