Who Will Win The Grand National?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

This most famous of races, seems to always have an Irish breeder, owner, rider, or bloodline in its front runners so 2007 will be no exception.Silver Birch's success in the John Smith's Grand National made all the big  bookmakers scratch their heads. Silver birch was said to slip under the radar.
Horses like Joes edge Point barrow and Hedgehunter did not live up to expectations.

It was said said: "The 2007 National can only be described as a major 'bookies' benefit'."

William Hill has said, "The Irish stranglehold on the Grand National continues  ............ and this will have dented the coffers of our shops in Ireland".

More than £250m  or (€366) was  reported to have been bet  on the Grand National and most of that of that will benefit the bookmakers."

More than 68, 000 attend the National and Silver birch is promised to now be 25 to 1.
This most exciting of races is unpredictable as ever.
