Why Does Roadkill End Up In The Middle Of The Road? Cars Don't Drive Down The Middle, So Why Does Roadkill End Up There?

I have always wondered about this. No one has ever been able to answer in a serious way that even sounds feasible.

Road kill doesn't always end up JUST in the middle. It is either in the middle or on the SIDE of the road. It depends on which direction the animal is running across the road from when it gets hit. Lets use an example. Lets say you are driving down 2 lane road and a critter runs out from the side of the road(drivers right side). When you run it over the momentum from the animal running will project its body in the same direction. The speed at which your tires are turning will dictate how hard and fast the critter is tossed under your car. So between the momentum of the animal running right to left...and the speed of your car.....the road kill will be spit out the underside of your car rolling to the left of where you hit it. Hence it would be in the middle of the road. If the animal came from the other direction it would end up on the side of the road.
