    Most places require you know first aide and if it is a school back ground checks are or should be needed.

      You should have classes in child development and early childhood education.  especially if the child care center has an education aspect to it.  you can take first aid and cpr classes through the red cross.

        You need to have a degree in homeeconomics  and a degree in childcare

        I am interested in becoming a child care worker, i have 28 units on child development and teacher credential from CA. I live here at mckinney tx. I need info about the homeeconomics and how apply for this job, my language is Spanish, and i been working for 10 years like childcare provider.

          In Washington state there are certificates that you must have-
          1. CPR and First Aid
          2. HIV awareness
          3. TB Test
          4. Back ground check
          5. 20 Stars education
