Will Marijuana plants still grow to a large size and form buds during the winter when the days are shorter than 12 hours?

    Yes under a heat lamp or light bulb in the house or green house if theres a frost.

    I believe when you start the plant you do 12hours on 12 hours off. You When you get to the the point that you want to "bud" it, you cut back the time spent under the light. Depending on where you live the winter months may not get cold enough if the plant is kept outside to harm the plant, but if started properly and covered when a frost is expected, you will probably be ok. Remember, they are tropical plants and like the heat. But they will be "hearty" if kept outside their entire life. If you get snow in the winter, forget it.
