There are many types of computers that we have in use today. Probably the most common and the one your using now is the PC, or personal computer. These are computers that are used for personal purposes (typing reports, gaming, looking at news, etc.). There are also specialized computers that do one thing and one thing only (cell phones, CD players, etc.). They cannot be changed to do anything other than what they were built for. Finally, we have the supercomputers. These computers are designed for high level super fast data processing. Scientists and anyone needing computing abilities beyond PCs would need these computers. They can do many things and allow us to advance in are studies of the world and universe.
One more computer I should mention is the server. These computers store data for use on the internet and also route it.
