Kitten In Heat With Diarrhea, What Should I Do?

Hi, my kitten is about 8 months old, she is coming into heat and acting all cooke and is a bit out of sorts which i read is normal. Thing is she gets bouts of diarrhea. She has been let outside (because she's coming into heat) and we have changed her food or anything. Are the 2 related? Thanks Siobhán, Dublin
